Pathway helps renters build wealth through homeownership

Social Inclusion

Many families pay a third of their income renting while saving for a deposit. That’s far more than people spend repaying a mortgage and more than enough to rent your way to ownership

Harness the circular economy

We can imagine a world where young families pay rent, in exchange for ownership, while older families fund these homes, in exchange for income.

To make this happen

We’re building a community willing to pool their rent as an asset that can be sold to retirees. Help us help you rent your way to ownership

COMMUNITY

Join the community as a member, an organiser or, as an influencer

Many young renters would rather be owners. Many older families need retirement income. Pathway squares the circle

We’re creating a community of families willing to rent their way to ownership. We’ll offer rent from our community as a whole to families willing to buy homes for our members

We need to offer rent in batches of four, five or six thousand families at a time. Then we’ll buy houses on a first come, first served basis.

Pension funds hold hundreds of billions of pounds of government bonds that are guaranteed to lose money for thirty to forty years. We want these funds to buy your new home in exchange for your rent so they can stop losing money and do something useful at the same time. Providing access to affordable homes will make a profound difference for teachers, nurses, bus drivers, the self-employed and many, many others locked out of home ownership

But here’s the challenge. A transaction of this type can only be executed at scale. We need to sell rent from three, four, five thousand families at the same time, roughly 0.05% of of the ten million renters in Britain. To do that we need your help
